What truly sets them apart is complete compostability: after use, the capsules can be tossed into organic‑waste bins and will biodegrade 100 percent within 180 days—simplifying waste management and shrinking environmental impact. Because the PLA is sourced from non‑food plant feedstocks, production does not compete with the human food supply. An 18‑month shelf life keeps the coffee perfectly preserved until the moment it’s brewed.
Recyclable‑paper plates, cups, and cutlery: eco‑friendly, food‑safe, and heat‑resistant
Planet Eathic’s paper plates, cups, and cutlery undergo a specialised “Water‑Coated Lamination” process. Using only water, this treatment forms an outer layer that prevents substances migrating between tableware and food, while significantly strengthening the product—much like crystallisation, but achieved with water.
Weighing just 16–20 grams, the plates (and matching paper utensils) withstand temperatures up to 90 °C for two hours—well beyond the 15‑ or 30‑minute limits set by standard regulations, giving them a clear performance edge over typical market offerings. All items are PFAS‑free; by avoiding these carcinogenic chemicals—commonly added to moulded‑pulp plates for microwave resistance—we ensure greater safety.
After use, the tableware can be disposed of in ordinary paper‑recycling bins. This claim is verified by CSI Milano and Atilceca, Italy’s authorised lab for “recyclable in paper” certification—an assurance not every paper product can provide. FSC certification further confirms that the raw paper comes from responsibly managed forests.
